Canada , in these harsh time, still adheres to its emphatic commitment of providing immigration to immigrants and continues to hold immigration draws at both Federal and Canada provincial level. In spite of varied travel limitations, potential aspirant are getting invitation to further submit applications for Canadian permanent residency. Accordingly 42,000 Express Entry candidates have already received invites so far in year 2020.

Past years, generally Canada immigration never considered any online courses taken by international students towards the study requirement for a PGWP application. Now considering the coronavirus travel restrictions, all international students who could not travel in spite of granted admissions in Canadian colleges and Universities are pursuing studies online and are eligible for PGWP ultimately also for Canada permanent residency. This time spent outside Canada will not be giving them any disadvantage rather IRCC has announced a reform and till 30th Dec 2020,this length of time will not be deducted from candidates time length of PGWP.
Not just this , to help international students community on shore, Canadian government has removed restrictions on off-campus work temporarily in few essential services sectors like supply of food ,goods and Health care. Twenty hours per week working policy while classes are in session is also relaxed for a while.
From the 8th of June 2020, Canadian Government resumed permission to entry of spouse or common law partner, dependent children, parents, Guardians and almost all immediate family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. They have to follow norms related to covid 2019 and self quarantine themselves for 14 days once they enter Canada. IRCC has also already resumed processing of Temporary resident visas and electronic travel visas of candidates eligible under current scenario capable of travelling obeying norms of pandemic .
